Non Shedding Cat Breeds

Non Shedding Cat Breeds

When it comes to non shedding cat breeds, one of the most popular is the Cornix Rex. They are definitely very unique looking cats because they do not have any fur at all, or at least their coat is so short that it is almost as though they have none at all.

Most cat owners may not prefer to own long hair cats because they are more difficult to care for since they need to be groomed on a daily basis and they also are more at risk of having hairballs from which fleas may be very difficult to get rid of, and in case such cats get them cut or are grazed, it will be quite difficult to properly care for them.

One other thing to consider in choosing a cat breed for your family is the amount of time your family can spare to take care of your cat. Longhair cats need regular grooming, which involves bathing, drying and brushing. If you are too busy to facilitate these things, get a shorthair cat.

The coat is incredibly close to the body and soft to the touch, prompting comparisons to cut velvet, rabbit fur or silk. This non shedding cat breed also has a very distinctive head and body type, featuring rather large ears which are set high on a smaller egg-shaped head. They have very high cheekbones and hollow cheeks, and a body with an arched back and very long, fine legs
